IEEE Blockchain Transactive Energy
A BlockFrame® project for IEEE Blockchain Transactive Energy completed a pre-MVP demonstration at our utility partner in 2022 and is moving towards a production MVP implementation scheduled during 2023. We are able to demonstrate the operation of this Carbon Neutral Distributed Ledger produced by the pre-MVP in an application of real-time Renewable Energy operations. The demonstration provided for IEEE Global Emerging Technology Blockchain Forum is available to view publicly for a limited time. You can check out the alpha version prototype at www.philos.us. We are currently seeking energy company and utility industry vendor partners interested in participating in early phases of the ESP-Energy ecosystem.
Philos Marketplace
BlockFrame® leads a community-sourced project called Philos™, named after the Greek word for brotherly love; it is the first of a kind tokenized project designed to offer a public incentive for involvement. Philos™, first conceived in 2018, has engaged over 370+ persons from over fifteen Universities and more than twenty partner companies. The result has been over 25,000 hours contributed during three years to the development of the Philos Marketplace™. Philos™ is a next-generation blockchain marketplace that implements the Synchronous-Trust Consensus Model conceived by BlockFrame, funded through legislation by the State of Colorado.

American Council on Education (ACE), Blockchain Innovation Challenge
BlockFrame® and a group of partners has supported the Lifelong Learner Project, which was powered by teachers to develop a digital wallet in where they can store and access their credentials, licenses, and exemplars of practice and securely share them with entities such as state licensing systems, human resources departments, and learning management systems. The project partners included RANDA Solutions, Utah Department of Education, ETS, UPD Consulting, Utah State Board of Education, Digital Promise, BlockFrame, IdRamp, Velocity Career Network, Evernym, IMS Global, Credential Engine, and Fluree.
IEEE Blockchain, Security , and Digital Privacy
The leadership of International Efforts for Security and Digital Privacy is a primary strength of BlockFrame® as its founders support international legislators, contribute to standards in blockchain, and are global leaders in security, transactive energy systems, and digital privacy. Current projects include Leading IEEE Blockchain Initiative Sub-committee for Security and Privacy, Contributing to IEEE Global Standards for Blockchain, and Charing the IEEE Future Directions Digital Privacy Initiative.
University of Colorado
BlockFrame® along with partners are working on a project with the University of Colorado with the goal of providing research for implementation of blockchain governance programs identified in the state of Colorado in support of Colorado legislation SB18-086.
Under this scope, BlockFrame will provide staffing, vision, and expert direction for the research program to support the needs of SB18-086. BlockFrame will utilize dissertation work of Mr. Gorog and leverage research and development projects already in progress from community members across the Front Range of Colorado. Funding from this Scope of Work (SOW) will support the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS) to take a leadership role in the organization of governance which will support the Blockchain Distributed Ledger (BDL) marketplace currently under development by volunteer members of local community development teams.

For the underlying security architecture of the designs for this project, each computer system requires the ability to establish and underlying trust. This is accomplished using blockchain technology which had been famously and successfully used as the engine behind bit coin. BlockFrame’s solution uses a hybrid blockchain application in conjunction with a chain of trust hierarchy to create a strong synergy. The application employs blockchains’ immutable identification capability to identify any device by unifying the provisioning of underlying cryptographic keys used for communications. These keys are then relied upon for achieving information assurance and non-repudiation.
The Department of the Navy Chief information Officer and the Secretary of the Navy have both released numerous guidance publications requiring non-repudiation in information assurance. BlockFrame’s technology complies and is aligned with the Department of the Navy’s cybersecurity requirements and standards in achieving non-repudiation through the most advanced and cutting-edge best practices.
CSU Pueblo
BlockFrame® is a consultant with Colorado State University-Pueblo on a CSU Blockchain Program Concept Design.
The goal of this project is to provide the initial design for Colorado State University Pueblo that will create a program for blockchain research at the university. The objective of the program is to align with the State of Colorado funded research being done at the university. The initial concept design will create a program framework to support CSU student engagement with blockchain research and provide a path for integrating each of the existing and future research projects.
Colorado State Legislation

The state of Colorado passed legislation that supports the use of blockchain or other distributed ledger technologies for a variety of purposes, including the improvement of the state government’s operations and cybersecurity. Senate Bill 18-86 makes Colorado the first state to enact laws around the use of blockchain technology for the purpose of safeguarding confidential data in state records.
Senate Bill 18-86 was written in regards to the use the use of encryption for state records and confirms that blockchain technology is rapidly growing for every sector of the marketplace as it offers solutions to support the connection of society, technology, and finances by mapping human actions to transactions.
